Practicing hand lettering and especially brush lettering has been pretty much an everyday thing. It’s really soothing and enjoyable. In fact, other than school work it’s pretty much all I’ve been doing in my spare time and there’s been alot of it. We are not in a lockdown like the rest of the country is at the moment, however in Nova Scotia we are still under lots of restrictions so lots of home time. I have been enjoying the lettering so much and love it even more than web design. I think that it’ll be a handy skill to have along with web design and want to work on making some money with it eventually.
I have played around with so many apps for both lettering and drawing/doodling including Autodesk Sketchbook, Ibis Paint X, MediBang Paint, Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Sketch and Adobe Draw as well as Infinite Painter and Infinite Design. Infinite Painter won out, though I kept a few of the other ones on my tablet as they are useful as well for certain things.
Here are a few things I did in Infinite Painter:
I’ve also started a digital bullet journal. I’ve been wanting to start one for a while now and have been struggling with how to do it. I’m such a perfectionist at times that I was terrified to start one in a physical bullet journal. I’ve been struggling to find the right app(s) for it. Seems to be a bit of a theme here.. I finally settled on an app called Noteshelf for the bullet journal. I tried so many but could not find one that had all the features I wanted until I found Noteshelf which is perfect. I am a little bothered by the fact I am starting it in February instead of January, but yeah I’ll have to deal 😆
