So far so good! I have noticed a difference in energy, pain and sleep. We took a trip to Yarmouth on the weekend to visit NSLC to see what they had available for CBD oil and to get something because the stuff I ordered online from them was delayed to next week. I also wanted to go to Staples to get some paper to use with my Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens that I ordered last week for modern calligraphy and brush lettering. More about that in another post later in the week or maybe next week.

As I mentioned it’s only been a week but I am thinking of doing a weekly update on how trying out CBD for pain, anxiety and other issues is going. I am taking a small dose twice a day for now. I’m going to give it another week before adjusting the dose because I was without all day Friday and on Saturday morning (ran out) until we got some at NSLC.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed is my energy. I have had enough energy since day 2 to get through a whole day with no more than a 30-45 min nap in the afternoon. Prior to this I was pretty much taking a 60-90 minute nap 2-3 times a day and still felt wiped out. I actually feel pretty good. The second big thing I’ve noticed is both my “background” pain (ie. always there, always on) and the pain in my hip and left leg have been a lot better, like 85-90% better!
Maybe this is just a “honeymoon phase,” I’m not sure. I’ve also been more upbeat and have slept marginally better. Sleep is where I’ve noticed the least effects (or difference) at the moment but there has been a minor improvement. Eddie says that more energy and less frustration are the most profound effects he’s noticed in me. I agree. Lately (pre CBD) frustration and panic which often would go hand in hand for me were big stressors for us both. I would “blow up” and start crying or go to bed and literally pass out from frustration, pain, and fatigue and sleep for hours.
I don’t think that’s happened once. Even Friday and Saturday. Saturday we even went for a drive to Yarmouth and I did a 10 minute walk on the beach. Could have gone longer if it wasn’t so cold. To say I am happy about all this is understated. I even had a talk with one of the NSLC cannabis specialists about switching to oil when the chocolate is done. She agreed with my doctor about it being better for more consistent, precise and accurate dosing. She discussed my fears and assured me that the less than 1 mg of THC was safe and would not affect driving and was to low to even be detectable.
I’ll keep posting weekly updates for anyone interested in my experience with CBD for pain, anxiety, fatigue, etc.
That’s amazing , Kirsten! I’m so glad for you! I hope it continues like this.
Thanks Susanne
